Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register and how do I pay?

Registrations are done online via the DLTV website. If you or your school are a member of DLTV make sure you login to access the discounted member rates.

Payment can be made online at registration with a credit card, or an invoice can be issued. If you have more than one registration to complete and would prefer to speak to us please don’t hesitate to call us on (03) 9349 3733 and we can organise your registration.

Do I need to register for sessions?

DigiCon18 features a range of workshops running across streams such as pedagogy, coding, VCE, Pedagogy and Digital Technologies Curriculum. Please note that there are no pre-selections for workshops- just come along on the day and decide where you want to be and who you want to work with.

What should I bring?

Please bring a laptop or tablet device, and also check on specific session descriptions to see if anything else is required (such as particular software installed).

One workshop session- The Keyboard Hack, also requires some USB keyboards so if you have a spare one lying around please bring that. And if you have some to donate that would be much appreciated!

Other things to bring:

Your chargers and cords. We can provide a charging station where you can leave your devices securely with us, but you will need to provide the charger and cord for this.

We have a barista on hand, so to reduce waste please bring along a Keep Cup or mug. Also please bring a water bottle.

Where is DigiCon 18 and how do I get there?

DigiCon18 is running at Australian Catholic University, St Patrick’s Campus. The campus is located at 115 Victoria Parade, Fitzroy. (Google Maps link)

The campus is a 13 minute walk from Parliament Train Station.  The campus is one tram stop away from the St Vincent’s tram interchange, and the campus is served by Trams 12 and 109 which both run along Collins Street.

Driving is not recommended as parking is limited, but if you’d prefer to drive then there are some options. There is some parking at ACU but we’d recommend arriving early. The Melbourne Museum carpark has an early bird rate (in before 9.30am, out after 2.30pm) of $17 per day. This car park is approximately 1.2 kilometres from the ACU campus.

The venue is wheelchair accessible. All venues at DigiCon18 can be accessed by ramp, wheelchair lift, or elevators. If you have any accessibility requirements please let us know. Wheelchair access is marked on the map below. Download a more detailed map of the campus
