This will be a hands-on session introducing participants to Arduino IDE and basic circuits. In 2016 at MLC we ran our first ever STEAM week for Year 7 students. This workshop will take you through the planning, structure and evaluation of this week. During our first STEAM week we ran four hubs. One of those hubs was ElectroFun where students put together circuits connecting coloured lights and programmed the sequence and timing of those lights. During this workshop we will guide you step-by-step through some of the activities that the girls completed in this hub. This workshop is aimed at teachers who have never used or are just starting with Arduino boards. To participate in this workshop you will need a laptop computer with ArduinoIDE installed https://www.arduino.cc/en/main/software
Please note that as the presenters will be providing equipment to be used in this session attendance will be capped at 25 people.
