A discarded keyboard and some simple modifications allow for creative exploration of interactivity and digital learning. Over the last 10 years I have been experimenting with this simple, low-cost hardware, code writing and project-based learning to engage students in creating their visions.
In this presentation you will learn about a simple and cheap hardware option for student engagement and will showcase what students have created given these simple components.
Please bring a laptop, an old USB keyboard that you are happy to dismantle and a screwdriver. Some keyboards and screwdrivers can be provided. Please also create a Scratch account if you do not have one already.
