Aaron is eSmart Coordinator and teacher at Brookside P-9 College. He has had a breadth of opportunities, including working in a small country school and a few traditional 7-12 secondary schools. During this time, Aaron has worked to embed technology in the classroom as a means for enabling more meaningful learning. This has included rolling out the Ultranet, 1:1 devices and Google Apps for Education.
Associated with this, Aaron has presented at ICTEV13, DLTV2014, GAFESummit, DLTV2015 and Leading a Digital School conference focusing on the role of technology when it comes to collaboration and communication in and out of the classroom.
Although coming from an English and Humanities background, a focus on 21st century learning and technology has afforded Aaron the opportunity to teach a variety of subjects and support a range of staff. In addition, Aaron is very active online, with much of his work found in his blog Readwriterespond. He has a particular passion for how being connected can help continue the conversation in regards to transforming education.
