Michelle is one of the first generation of digital natives and a proud girl geek. From teaching herself Photoshop 3.0 and developing eCommerce websites as a teenager in the 1990, she progressed to a Bachelor of Computer Science at The University of Melbourne. Driven to inspire more girls to take up careers in technology, she made the move into education.
While working at Mentone Girls’ Grammar School, she undertook further studies including a Masters of Education in which she did research into women and technology. As Head of Digital Technologies at Mentone Girls’ Grammar School, she developed a compulsory stream of computer science from Years 7-9 including robotics, VR game development and media studies.
This year she has started a new journey at Strathcona as the Head of Digital Learning and Innovation. She is a member of the PixelEd Multimedia Teachers Association committee and has presented at a number of conferences including TeachTechPlay and FutureSchools.
