Nicola O’Brien, founder of Code Rangers and lover of tech, creativity and coding. Nicola works with primary and secondary school students, encouraging them to explore coding and computing, and unleash their creativity in a digital world. She has a strong emphasis on creating learning opportunities so that children can create projects of interest to them. Favourite creations from students this term include dancing unicorns with rainbow streamers and lava filled platformers.
Code Rangers works with over 200 students per week in schools, after school care centres and at our own workshops. Nicola can provide tailored content for classrooms, mapped to the digital technologies curriculum. Working with students on a daily basis gives her a valuable perspective on which projects will work, and how to engage and excite children.
