There are a plethora of robots available for purchase by Australian schools. Many new models are appearing each year. To help teachers decide upon the scope and potential across different year levels, leading STEM educator Roland Gesthuizen rallied the support of fellow information technology educators to write the detailed report entitled "Robots in the 2016 Australian Classroom”

In this online session Roland and several of the team will meet again to discuss this compendium and the benefits and potential of robots. Topics covered will include the how and why of teaching with robots,  and how students can learn about programming, computational thinking and problem solving.

Attendees are encouraged to read the article before the session. (PDF)A Bee Bot sits on an activity tile
