This session highlights free to access resources offered by the Australian Academy of Science, science and mathematics education programs: Primary Connections (F – 6), Science by Doing (7 – 10) and reSolve: Maths by Inquiry (F – 10).
The webinar provides a snapshot of the three program offerings. It explores the suite of resources suitable for face-to-face teaching and learning, including recently added resources that provide teachers flexibility, support and agency to deliver remote learning, as well as online teacher professional learning opportunities.
Participants are encouraged to ask questions at the conclusion of each program snapshot and are invited to input ideas to inform future development of online maths and science resources aligned to the Technologies curricula.

About the presenters
Kristen Tipet has responsibility for the reSolve: Maths by Inquiry project at the Australian Academy of Science. Kristen has always had a keen interest in mathematics. She worked as a primary school teacher for ten years and then realised that she could influence the way mathematics was taught in schools through consultancy and research. Kristen worked as a mathematics education consultant with the NSW Independent sector of schooling for a number of years delivering professional learning for teachers of Foundation through to Year 10. In her role with reSolve, Kristen develops professional learning and teaching resources for use in schools.
Angela Gigliotti has extensive experience in primary and secondary science education and tertiary pre-service teacher education. She has worked in Government and Catholic sectors as a teacher and in leadership roles. In her current role at the Australian Academy of Science, Angela liaises with stakeholders to design, develop and facilitate teacher professional learning drawing from contemporary research and teacher input.
Claudette Bateup is Director of Education at the Australian Academy of Science. Claudette’s career has focussed on facilitating effective teaching and learning experiences for educators and their students. Beginning her professional life as a primary school teacher, she has led national programs in science education and worked in settings spanning government, science research organisations, universities, the museum sector and the Australian Academy of Science.
