About the presenters

Dr Karsten Schulz was instrumental in the 2020-2021 development of AI resources at the Digital Technologies Hub. He has extensive experience in programming and Digital Technologies including building his own AI with visualisations to enable students to explore how an Artificial Neural Network operates. Karsten is Managing Director and CEO of Digital Technologies Institute.

Martin Richards is the Content Manager of the Digital Technologies Hub, an Australian portal and repository of teaching and learning resources for the Digital Technologies learning area. He leads the development of the 2020-2021 AI supporting resources. As well as writing many of the primary AI lesson plans, Martin developed the visual programming samples in Scratch 3.0 that feature in the DT Hub AI lessons.

Nathan Alison is Professional Learning Coordinator at Digital Learning and Teaching Victoria, and contributed to the Secondary AI Professional Learning and lesson resources at the Digital Technologies Hub. He taught Digital Technologies and senior computing courses for 11 years. Nathan brings a background in Computer Systems Engineering and a keen desire to help teachers with more complex Computer Science concepts through clear explanations and relevant activities.
