ACS and DLTV SPECIAL EVENT
Attracting more Girls to VCE computing subjects and Digital Technologies Careers.
This full day event at ACS’s Melbourne Tech Innovation Hub, Docklands addresses the noticeable trend of a decline in female representation in VCE computing subjects and as a result, less pursuing careers in Digital Technologies.
DLTV and ACS have put together an inspiring group of female speakers who will talk about their own experiences and how some of these issues might be addressed.
· Dr Caitlin Adams: who specialises in machine learning and data analytics to build useful products from satellite data.
· Kimberley Hall: Google educator with previous experience as a teacher.
· Elaine Bernardino: from vicictforwomen.
· Jac Manison: a current Digitech teacher who has managed to get an all-girls VCE class over the line this year.
· Janelle Dixon: CEO of Robogals.
The event will also include hands on interactive activities using VR, AI and Robotics. The presentations will be followed by a Q and A session with the speakers. Teachers will take strategies back to their school.
This event will be capped at 60 attendees so book your place soon.
Who Should Attend?
